Lot 117: An Antique Cast Iron and Brass Manual Coffee Mill
This manual coffee mill features a rectangular cast-iron housing with a black-painted finish. It is topped with a brass funnel-shaped hopper and an ornate, embossed brass decorative collar. The grinding mechanism is operated by a curved iron handle fitted with a turned wooden knob. A small integrated drawer at the base, intended for the collection of ground coffee, is equipped with a circular pull knob. A circular metal medallion is fixed to the front face of the body, bearing an embossed emblem and characters that are not clearly legible. A loose brass metal strip is positioned inside the hopper.
Condition report:
The item exhibits signs of age and significant use. There are visible chips, scratches, and wear to the black-painted surface of the iron body. The brass components show surface patina and oxidation. An orange adhesive lot tag is present on the side of the housing.
