This lot consists of a solid-body electric guitar and a compact practice amplifier. The guitar is a Stratocaster-style model by Kay, identified by the circular logo and name on the headstock. It features a natural finish multi-piece wood body with a one-piece maple neck and fingerboard, accented with black dot position inlays. The instrument is equipped with three single-coil pickups with parchment-coloured covers, a five-way selector switch, one volume knob, and two tone knobs, all mounted on a three-ply black pickguard. Hardware includes chrome-finished six-in-line tuners and a synchronized tremolo-style bridge.
The accompanying amplifier is a Laney ‘Mighty Eight’ model, a compact solid-state unit. It is housed in a black textured cabinet with a black grille cloth and a top-mounted control panel. The panel includes a red power switch, an input jack, and rotary controls. The lot is further accompanied by a black coiled 1/4-inch instrument cable and a white power lead.
Condition report:
Both items are in used condition with visible surface wear and significant dust accumulation. The guitar strings are present but untrimmed at the headstock, and the tremolo arm is missing. Both the guitar and amplifier bear small white and orange auction inventory stickers. The items are sold as seen and have not been tested for electrical safety or functionality.
