APRIL AUCTION

Lot 81: A Collection of Green and Cream Glazed Ceramics in the Denby Manor Green Pattern

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

This collection of stoneware teaware is in the Denby Manor Green pattern, a well-known mid-century British design. The pieces feature a distinctive two-tone glossy glaze with a sage green exterior and a contrasting cream-coloured interior. The group includes a teapot with a matching lid, several tea cups, and a stack of saucers. The teapot is of a rounded form with a D-shaped handle and a lid featuring a single steam vent. The cups have a slightly tapered cylindrical form with simple loop handles. While no manufacturer marks are visible from the current angle, the shapes and glaze combination are characteristic of Denby production from this period. Several items carry orange and white adhesive inventory stickers. Also partially visible in the frame are other ceramic pieces including a transfer-printed floral plate with a scalloped gilt rim and a green plate with an ornate gold-patterned border.

Condition report:

The items appear to be in good overall condition with no obvious chips, cracks, or significant surface wear visible. There is some minor adhesive residue from the inventory stickers.
