A matched pair of drop earrings in the Art Deco style, featuring an openwork design with geometric and foliate motifs. Each earring consists of a long, tapering drop terminating in a rhomboid-shaped plaque. The centres are set with a larger circular-cut white stone, surrounded by numerous smaller white stones in grain-set borders. The edges of the mounts are finished with milgrain detailing. The earrings are crafted from a bright white metal and are fitted with post and scroll backings for pierced ears. No maker’s marks or metal purity hallmarks are visible. The pair is housed in a cream-coloured presentation box with a black velvet-effect insert.
Condition report:
The earrings are in good overall condition with all stones present and secure. There is minor surface wear and very light tarnishing consistent with light use. The box shows some minor external wear.
