A collection of enamel advertising lapel badges featuring the historical mascot for Robertson’s jam and marmalade. The pieces depict the character in various attire corresponding to different decades, with banners inscribed 1910’S, 1920’S, 1930’S, and 1960’S. Specific designs include the mascot in a blue coat, white attire, evening wear with a cane, and a floral-patterned vest. The badges are constructed from base metal with a gold-tone finish and enamel detailing. The reverse of one badge displays a standard safety-pin style fastening.
Included is a commemorative medallion for Exeter Cathedral. The medallion is housed in a clear plastic presentation case with a blue card insert inscribed EXETER CATHEDRAL and 22ct Gold Plated Medallion. The obverse of the medallion features a relief image of the cathedral’s west front flanked by floral sprays.
Condition report:
The enamel badges show minor surface wear and light tarnishing to the gold-tone finish consistent with age. The commemorative medallion remains in its presentation case and appears to be in good condition with no visible signs of wear. The plastic case shows light storage scuffing.
