A collection of various decorative items and tableware. The group features a large circular ceramic bowl with a vibrant multi-coloured drip glaze in shades of red, turquoise, and orange, bearing a partial blue label on the underside which appears to read …sie, Dorset, suggesting an attribution to Poole Pottery. Also included is a set of green-glazed porcelain demitasse cups and saucers. Further ceramic items comprise a cobalt blue porcelain saucer with a scalloped, gilded edge and a central gilded scene depicting classical figures in 18th-century attire, and a rectangular porcelain box with a lid decorated with cobalt blue and gold foliate patterns. The collection contains a clear, faceted glass jar or bottle with a star-motif stopper. Metalware is represented by two circular items: a canister with a lid featuring an intricate, multi-pointed geometric design and a central decorative boss, and a shallow box or lid with a relief decoration of a bird among branches.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition with surface wear and light scratching consistent with age and use. There is minor rubbing and wear to the gilded decoration on the porcelain box and blue saucer. The label on the ceramic bowl is partially missing. No visible cracks or significant chips were observed during inspection.
