This lot comprises three decorative items. The first is a Chinese hardstone floral arrangement, or “forever” bonsai tree, featuring carved rose quartz petals and green hardstone leaves on wire-wrapped branches. These are set into a small celadon-glazed ceramic planter filled with white mineral pebbles. The second item is a bulbous, wide-mouthed stoneware jar with a crackled off-white glaze and dark grey underglaze decoration consisting of concentric lines and swirling patterns around the shoulder. The third component is a stack of small Chinese porcelain plates. The top plate is decorated in the famille rose palette, depicting a figurative scene of a scholar and a lady in a traditional interior or garden setting, accompanied by black ink characters in Chinese script. These items are characteristic of decorative arts from the mid-to-late 20th century.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall condition, showing signs of handling consistent with age and use. Minor natural irregularities are present in the hand-carved hardstone petals and leaves. Adhesive price labels are present on all items and may leave residue upon removal. All items are sold as-is.
