A pair of rectangular leadlight window panels, each set within an original timber sash frame. Dating from the interwar period, circa 1920-1930, the panels feature a central geometric motif in an Art Deco style, composed of vibrant red, yellow, and green glass in a stylised hourglass configuration. This central design is surrounded by a grid of rectangular panes using a combination of clear glass and textured hammered glass to allow light through while providing obscuration. The wooden frames retain original sash window hardware, including a latch on the top rail of each sash. A small white adhesive label with the printed numbers 19 19 is present on one pane. No other maker marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
The panels are in an unrestored, as found state. The timber frames show significant signs of age and weathering, with extensive flaking and loss of white paint, and some softening or rot to the timber at the corners and edges. The lead cames appear generally stable, exhibiting typical age-related oxidation and some slight bowing. The glass panels appear largely intact without major losses, though surface grime and typical minor imperfections are present.
