Lot 472: A Decorative Leaded Stained Glass and Metal Plant Stand
A small square-topped pedestal plant stand or side table constructed with a black-painted metal frame. The structure features four legs decorated with scrollwork and is reinforced with a cross-stretcher for stability. The square top frame holds an inset leaded glass panel decorated with a vibrant floral motif in a stained glass style. The design depicts white blossoms with yellow centres, red poppy-like flowers, and blue floral accents, set against a background of green foliage and textured, translucent grey and clear glass sections. The panel is constructed using traditional soldering techniques. Two modern adhesive inventory stickers are present on the top surface of the glass: a small white sticker with the printed numeral 7 and an orange sticker with the handwritten number 472.
Condition report:
The item is in fair condition. The metal frame shows signs of use, including surface wear and an accumulation of dust and debris around the scrollwork and base. The stained glass panel appears to be intact, with no visible cracks or missing sections.
