Lot 469: A Victorian-style Garden Bench with Cast Metal Ends and Wooden Slats
This garden bench is designed in a traditional Victorian style, featuring two decorative cast metal end frames with pierced scroll and foliate detailing. The seat and backrest are formed by a series of horizontal wooden slats that are bolted to the metal frames. The wood appears to be a stained species suitable for outdoor use. The metalwork is finished in a dark paint. A small orange inventory sticker bearing the numbers 7 and 401 is affixed to the uppermost slat of the backrest.

The item is offered in a weathered, as-found condition. There is prominent moss and lichen growth across the wooden slats, especially on the seat area. The wood shows signs of surface wear and deterioration to the stained finish. The cast metal ends display some wear and paint loss but remain structurally intact.
