Lot 463: A Pair of Heavy-Duty Industrial T-Bar Sash Clamps
A pair of heavy-duty industrial T-bar sash clamps, of the type used in woodworking for clamping large frames and furniture. Each clamp is constructed from forged steel or cast iron and features a black painted finish. The design incorporates a long T-section bar with multiple pre-drilled holes used to adjust the position of the sliding tail jaw. Pressure is applied through a traditional tommy-bar screw mechanism located at the head jaw. Both units include their sliding jaws, which are secured to the bars by tethered metal pins. One clamp has a white adhesive label with the handwritten number 38, and both bars feature small circular yellow or orange stickers. No manufacturer marks or brand stamps are visible on the tools.
Condition report:
These items are in used workshop condition. There is visible wear to the black finish, including significant paint loss and surface oxidation (rust), particularly on the screw threads, tommy-bars, and jaw faces. The clamps appear structurally sound and complete with all necessary components. While mechanical function has not been tested, the parts appear to be in functional order.
