Lot 461: A Set of Hardwood Garden Dining Furniture Including an Octagonal Table, Folding Chairs and Parasol
A set of contemporary outdoor garden furniture constructed from a dark-toned hardwood, resembling Brazilian cherry or teak. The set features a dining table with an octagonal slatted top and a central aperture for a parasol. It is accompanied by armless folding chairs with slatted seats and backs. The lot includes a large garden parasol with a wooden pole and a muted purple or grey fabric canopy. A circular manufacturer label is inset into the tabletop near the centre hole, though the text is not clearly legible. The design of the set is similar to those produced by New River.
Condition report:
The furniture set is in a used, weathered condition. There are visible signs of dust and minor surface abrasions across the wooden surfaces, consistent with storage and outdoor exposure. The fabric canopy shows some light soiling and creasing from storage. The wood retains much of its original colour but would benefit from cleaning and a fresh application of oil to restore its finish.
