Lot 45: A Collection of Vintage Pink and Coloured Depression-Era Pressed Glassware

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of mid-20th-century pressed glassware comprising multiple items in rosalin pink, clear, and pale blue glass. The pink glass components include various dessert bowls and sherbet dishes featuring designs such as octagonal panelling, block optic patterns, and rayed motifs. One larger pink vessel shows an Art Deco influence with stepped, geometric sides. A clear glass fragment with diamond-cut patterns is visible, along with a pale blue glass dish decorated with a moulded floral and leaf design. Several pieces retain temporary adhesive price labels and inventory stickers. The items are characteristic of utility glass produced during the Depression era by manufacturers such as Anchor Hocking, Indiana Glass, or British firms like Bagley and Sowerby. No manufacturer marks are visible on the surfaces of the pieces.

Condition report:

Generally good vintage condition. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are evident upon visual inspection. Minor manufacturing flaws including small bubbles and cooling lines (straw marks) are present, which is typical for pressed glass of this period. Light surface scratches and wear consistent with age and domestic use.
