A vintage double-ended wooden boat of clinker-built construction, designed in the style of a Rob Roy canoe or kayak. The vessel features a central open cockpit with partial wooden decking at the bow and stern. The hull is formed from overlapping thin wooden planking. Included with the boat are two wooden single-bladed paddles and various internal wooden components, which appear to be floorboards and elements of a rudder or leeboard assembly. Additional items comprise a blue foam seat pad and a yellow and black buoyancy aid. No manufacturer’s plates, maker’s marks, or Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) are visible on the vessel.
Condition report:
The boat is in poor to fair condition and is presented as a restoration project. Significant weathering and wear are evident to the varnished finish across the entire wooden surface, with extensive areas of peeling and degradation. The hull and associated components show signs of long-term storage, age, and exposure to moisture.
