A large rectangular wall mirror featuring an ornate, heavily molded frame. The frame is finished in a burnished gilt colour with a darkened antiqued patina to accentuate the decorative relief. The design is in the Baroque revival style, incorporating deep-relief foliate scrolls and shell motifs at the corners and centres, complemented by a beaded inner border adjacent to the mirror plate. The mirror plate is clear and appears to be of modern manufacture. No manufacturer’s marks are visible; however, a small white inventory label is present on the right-hand side of the frame.
Condition report:
The frame is in overall good condition with some minor surface dust and light wear consistent with age and use. The gilt finish remains vibrant with intentional antiquing. The mirror plate is clear and free from significant foxing, silvering loss, or scratches.
