A Victorian burr walnut and mahogany canterbury featuring a four-division slatted top rack with turned corner finials and four central spiral-turned supports. The intermediate shelf displays a well-figured burr walnut veneer, positioned above a base section containing a single full-width drawer. The drawer front is decorated with a foliate marquetry inlay and is fitted with twin turned wooden pulls. The entire piece is supported on substantial turned legs that terminate in brass and ceramic castors. The construction comprises mahogany structural elements with burr walnut veneers to the primary surfaces. No maker’s marks are visible. A small white lot label is affixed to the upper frame.

The item appears structurally sound. It shows surface wear and finish loss consistent with age and use, particularly evident on the upper rails and turned supports. There are minor scratches, small indentations, and abrasions to the woodwork and veneers throughout.
