Lot 351: A Set of Regency Revival Mahogany Nesting Tables
A set of mahogany nesting tables in the Regency revival style, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The set comprises a larger rectangular primary table and three graduated smaller tables designed to nest underneath. The tops feature a high-gloss finish with cross-banded decorative borders. Each table is raised on slender, turned, and fluted legs terminating in small block feet. The primary table is ornamented with circular, brass-toned sunflower-motif rosettes at the corner joints. Each of the three nested tables is equipped with a small, brass-toned D-handle to the front rail to facilitate removal. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible; a small yellow adhesive label is present on the side of one of the inner tables.
Condition report:
The tables appear to be in good overall condition. The finish is bright and highly polished, showing typical reflections and minor surface scuffs consistent with age and use. The structural integrity appears sound with no obvious signs of major damage or repair.
