A collection of vintage brass fireplace accessories and decorative items. The lot includes a five-piece brass companion set comprising a shovel, tongs, poker, and brush, all featuring turned ball-and-urn finials and housed on a footed stand with an embossed decorative gallery base. Accompanied by a rectangular brass-framed fire screen containing a dark mesh panel with a central cast fleur-de-lis emblem and a D-shaped carry handle. The collection further features a pair of fireplace bellows with a cast brass front plate depicting a traditional horse-drawn carriage scene, a set of seven cast horse brasses mounted on a black leather strap with various motifs including a heart and an elephant, and a brass jug with an embossed scale or snakeskin pattern. No manufacturer marks are visible on the items.
Condition report:
All items are in used vintage condition with a natural patina and surface tarnish consistent with age. The fireplace tools show evidence of use with light soot residue and surface wear. The leather on the horse brasses and bellows shows age-related wear.
