Lot 258: A Trio of Vintage Plastic Multi-Drawer Parts Storage Cabinets
A trio of vintage workshop storage units designed for organising small components. The collection comprises three distinct units constructed from moulded plastic: one in green, one in a silver-toned finish, and one in blue. Each unit houses a series of clear plastic pull-out drawers. Several drawers contain handwritten paper labels with electronic component descriptions, including PRE-SET 50K, CONTRAST CONTROL, and BRIGHTNESS. One label includes the alphanumeric reference M 50730-60SP and a date code appearing to read 5394 (1/76). Each unit bears an orange adhesive price tag marked 258. These items are in the style of mid-20th-century industrial organisers such as those produced by Akro-Mils or Raaco.
Condition report:
The units show evidence of age and previous utility, including an accumulation of surface dust and grime. There is minor scratching to the plastic casings and clear drawers throughout. Several drawers exhibit yellowing consistent with age and have adhesive residue or old paper labels attached.
