A pair of large, heavy hand-blown glass decorative spheres, commonly referred to as Kugels or witch balls. The lot consists of one sphere in deep cobalt blue glass and another in dark forest green glass. The cobalt blue sphere is fitted with an ornate, embossed metal gallery cap featuring a foliate pattern and a circular hanging ring. The forest green sphere displays a prominent, dark-coloured glass seal or rough-snapped pontil mark at the top. Both items are hand-blown, exhibiting characteristic surface irregularities and thickness associated with traditional glassmaking techniques. The spheres are accompanied by orange adhesive lot tags numbered 233 and 234.
Condition report:
Generally good condition. Both spheres exhibit surface dust and minor marks consistent with age. The cobalt blue sphere shows some visible adhesive residue on the glass near the metal cap. No cracks, chips, or significant damage are apparent from visual inspection.
