This lot consists of two distinct pieces of decorative glassware. The first is a clear glass pitcher with an integral handle, featuring etched floral and foliate motifs, specifically a six-petal flower or starburst design on the main body. The lower portion and base are decorated with vertical facet cuts, and the handle is finished with notched detailing for improved grip. The second item is a substantial lead crystal bowl with deep, sharp-edged geometric cutting in the brilliant style. The pattern features a dense diamond-cut or cross-hatched design across the sides, terminating in a large multi-pointed starburst pattern on the base. The sharpness of the facets and clarity suggest a lead crystal composition. No maker’s marks are clearly visible, although the items are in the style of high-quality European manufacturers. A small white label is affixed to the interior rim of the bowl, and an orange inventory sticker marked ’23’ is attached to the exterior.
Condition report:
Both items are in good overall condition. The glass is clear and free from signs of cloudiness or glass sickness. The cutting on the bowl remains sharp and well-defined. No significant chips or cracks are apparent, though minor surface scratches consistent with age and use may be present.
