Porcelain model of the celebrated grey steeplechaser One Man, produced by Beswick as part of the Connoisseur Horse series, model number 3190. The horse is depicted in a walking gait with a dappled grey coat and a high gloss finish. It is mounted on a shaped, dark-finished wooden plinth base. A brass metal nameplate is fixed to the front of the wooden base, inscribed with the horse’s name One Man in cursive script. The figurine exhibits the athletic proportions characteristic of a thoroughbred National Hunt racehorse. An orange adhesive sticker bearing the handwritten number 194 is present on the upper surface of the wooden base.
Condition report:
Good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or restorations to the porcelain, including the delicate ears, tail, and legs. The gloss glaze remains bright and clear. The wooden base shows minor surface wear consistent with age.
