Two glazed porcelain bird figurines featuring polychrome decoration. The first figurine depicts a bird, possibly a swallow or martin, in a dynamic pose with dark teal-blue plumage on the head and wings, a white breast with pale pink shading, and a dark forked tail, mounted on a plain white circular porcelain base. The second figurine depicts a nuthatch with blue-grey wings, a black horizontal eye stripe, and a long, pointed yellow-toned beak, perched on a white branch-form base accented with two green leaves. Both items are finished with a high-gloss clear glaze. No manufacturer’s marks or factory signatures are visible on the exterior of the pieces. Both items bear orange adhesive inventory labels with the handwritten number 183, and the swallow figurine includes a small white label with the printed number 17.
Condition report:
Both figurines appear to be in good condition. There is no visible damage, chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration to the delicate areas, including the beaks, tail tips, or applied foliage. The glaze surface remains bright and intact.
