A trio of Art Deco-style glazed earthenware pieces, likely of British origin, comprising two square-form lidded vegetable tureens and a matching open sauce boat. The items are finished in a cream-coloured glaze and feature a stylised pattern of wheat sheaves in orange and yellow with green stalks. The design includes stepped lids and stylised lug handles, accented with a dark-coloured dotted border along the rims and handles. The handles are further decorated with a green painted wash. No maker’s marks are visible on the exterior surfaces shown. The items are currently marked with various auction lot stickers, including a small white circular label with the number 23 and orange rectangular labels marked L 1.
Condition report:
The pieces are in good overall condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Rubbing and slight paint loss are visible on the green decorative wash on the handles. There are no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of restoration visible.
