Lot 152: A Set of Six German Lead Crystal Brandy Balloons
A set of six brandy balloons crafted from German lead crystal with a minimum lead oxide content of 24 per cent. Each glass features a hand-cut pattern comprising a band of diamond cuts around the lower half of the bowl, with vertical wedge cuts radiating upwards. The circular feet are decorated with a radial starburst pattern to the underside. Several glasses retain their original gold-toned oval foil labels which read Echt Bleikristall Genuine lead crystal over 24% Germany. The set is housed in a red satin-lined presentation box.
Condition report:
The glasses appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or cloudiness. The original manufacturer labels remain intact on several items. The presentation box shows minor signs of age-related wear to the exterior.
