Lot 100: An Extensive Collection of Assorted Stemware and Glassware
A varied collection of clear and coloured glass stemware and tumblers comprising several distinct styles. Included is a group of Roemer style wine glasses featuring clear bowls supported by green glass stems with characteristic ribbing and knopped details. The lot also contains a selection of large clear glass goblets with bowls supported by stems featuring vertical faceting. There is an assortment of glassware featuring a thin gold band at the rim, including stemless lowball tumblers and small stemmed wine or sherry glasses. Further items include tall tapered pilsner style glasses, slender champagne flutes, and various other clear glass stemware of varying sizes and proportions. Two pieces exhibit deep cut geometric patterns including diamond and cross hatch motifs, characteristic of lead crystal. Several items bear small orange and white adhesive labels with handwritten numbers. No manufacturer marks were observed.
Condition report:
Generally good condition overall. No significant chips or cracks are evident to the visible surfaces. Light surface scratches and minor shelf wear consistent with age and use may be present across the collection. Some pieces with gilded decoration show slight rubbing to the gold rims.
