March timed auction
Lot 69:
A pair of circular jasperware wall plates featuring a matte sage green ground with sprigged white bas-relief decoration. The central motif of each plate depicts a winged putto holding drapery, enclosed within a six-pointed star-shaped garland composed of foliate and shell elements. The outer border is decorated with six individual classical-style vignettes depicting putti in various scenes of play and activity. The plates are currently fitted with white wire plate hangers. Adhesive auction or pricing labels are present on the upper surface of the top plate, including one white label marked 28 and two orange labels marked 69. No factory marks are visible on the upper surface of the items; the bases are currently obscured by the hangers and stacking.
The visible surfaces appear to be in good overall condition with no obvious chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration. Minor surface dust is present within the crevices of the relief work.
