Lot 551: A vintage ladies white metal manual wind wristwatch retailed by Johnston and Court Ltd
A ladies vintage wristwatch featuring a circular white metal case with an engraved foliate border. The silvered dial is unmarked and displays black Arabic numerals with a red 12 and two dark-toned hands. The watch is fitted with a manual wind movement and is mounted on an articulated decorative white metal link bracelet. The item is presented in its original retailer box, the interior lid of which is printed with Johnston and Court Ltd, Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven, Ulverston, Kendal and Grange.

Condition report:
The watch is in vintage condition with surface scratches and wear to the case and bracelet consistent with age. The dial shows noticeable patina, spotting, and oxidation. The movement is untested and the mechanical integrity or timekeeping accuracy is unknown. The presentation box shows significant wear to the exterior blue covering and age-toning to the interior silk and velvet lining.
