Lot 460: A Pfaff Electric Sewing Machine and a Mid-Century Modern Drop-Leaf Table
A portable electric sewing machine by Pfaff together with a mid-century modern drop-leaf work table. The sewing machine is finished in a grey hammered enamel and is equipped with an external motor manufactured by Sew-Tric Ltd of Ealing, London. It is accompanied by a black plastic foot pedal and a two-tone cream and orange textured carrying case. The table, dating from the mid-20th century, features a rectangular top with a light-coloured wood veneer. It is raised on a simple wooden frame with four straight legs of square profile, joined by a low cross-stretcher. The design incorporates a single drop-leaf extension. A small auction lot sticker numbered 55 is present on the table top.
Condition report:
The sewing machine is in good used condition showing minor surface dust and light wear consistent with age; the unit is sold as untested for mechanical or electrical functionality. The table is in fair to good condition with visible surface wear and scuffing to the veneer edges, though the structural integrity and leaf mechanism appear sound.
