A Collection of Franco Italian Glassware with Silver-Toned Lion Medallions
A collection of Italian glassware produced by Franco, comprising a decanter with a stopper and balloon-style snifter glasses. Each clear glass vessel is embellished with a silver-toned metal relief medallion to the centre, depicting a heraldic lion’s head. The decanter features a tapered body, a flared neck, and a solid glass stopper. The accompanying glasses are designed in a snifter form with rounded bowls, short stems, and circular bases. A blue and gold manufacturer’s label is affixed to the base of the decanter, marked Made in Italy and Franco. The pieces exhibit neoclassical design characteristics.
The set appears in good overall condition. No chips, cracks, or significant abrasions are visible to the glass. Minor surface wear is consistent with age and handling. Adhesive inventory stickers are present on several items.
