Timed auction of unsold lots
Lot 81:
A pair of ceramic decorative wall plates executed in the Neo-Attic style, featuring imagery inspired by ancient Greek pottery. The smaller plate depicts a mythological scene from the Iliad, inscribed in Greek Ο ΘΡΙΑΜΒΟΣ ΤΟΥ ΑΧΙΛΛΕΩΣ (The Triumph of Achilles), illustrating Achilles in a chariot before the walls of Troy. The scene is rendered in a polychrome and black-figure style. Both pieces are adorned with traditional meander (Greek key) borders and stylised palmette motifs. These items are modern decorative ware, likely terracotta, produced in Greece. The larger plate features a wide meander border with scrollwork accents.
Both items show signs of surface dust and the presence of various inventory and pricing stickers. No visible chips, cracks, or restoration are apparent from the visual inspection.
