A 1919 9ct Gold Vickers Ltd Shipyard Commemorative Medallion by Vaughton and Sons (12.7g )
A 9k gold commemorative medallion hallmarked for London, 1919, bearing the maker mark V and S for Vaughton and Sons. The obverse features a circular high-relief scene depicting industrial shipyard activity, set within a scalloped border decorated with floral motifs. The reverse is engraved with the inscription: PRESENTED TO DEPUTY OFFICER J. CAMPBELL FOR LONG AND MERITORIOUS SERVICES VICKERS LTD SHIPYARD F.B. JULY 1919. The piece is fitted with a suspension jump ring and is housed in a period brown textured presentation case with a fitted velvet and silk-lined interior.
The medallion exhibits light surface toning to the reverse consistent with age. The piece remains in good overall condition. The presentation case shows minor wear to the exterior.
