Lot 632: An antique 9k gold long guard chain ( 33.8g )
An antique long guard chain, also referred to as a muff chain, crafted from 9k gold. The jewellery consists of a continuous length of fine belcher or rolo-style circular links. The chain is terminated with a traditional swivel dog clip clasp. The metal displays a warm tone characteristic of 9k gold.
Condition report:
The chain is presented in a tangled state. The links appear structurally sound with no apparent breaks or previous repairs visible. The swivel clasp remains functional. General surface wear and light tarnishing are consistent with the age of the piece.
