This large oval wall mirror dates to the late 19th century, approximately 1890. The item features a dark-stained wooden frame with a decorative beaded inner border. The central mirror plate is finished with a bevelled edge. The construction and aesthetic are characteristic of the Napoleon III period, often associated with rosewood or scumble finishes.
Condition report:
The mirror is in fair condition. There is visible surface dust and minor spotting to the mirror glass. The wooden frame shows light wear and scuffs consistent with age and previous use. A small orange adhesive tag is currently affixed to the lower section of the mirror plate.
