A 19th-century pine blanket chest of rectangular form. The construction features a hinged, slightly overhanging lid above a body with visible dovetail joints at the corners. The piece is supported by a stepped, moulded base. Hardware includes a small, oval metal keyhole escutcheon to the front and a scrolled metal swing handle to the side. The timber shows a natural, weathered finish.
