A pair of rectangular garden troughs crafted from weathered reconstituted stone in the nineteenth-century style. Each planter features a heavy-rimmed design and a relief-molded decorative panel on the long side depicting a rosette motif. The interior of each trough is provided with two circular drainage holes. The material is textured to simulate the appearance of natural carved gritstone or sandstone.
Condition report:
Both troughs are in a weathered condition consistent with long-term outdoor exposure. There is a significant and established patina of lichen and moss growth across the surfaces, alongside characteristic pitting and surface wear. Small adhesive inventory labels are present on the rims.
