A Matthew Patton studio art pottery square platter or wall plaque of slab construction. The piece features a recessed central field and a wide, sloped rim with two small, integral handles. The decoration consists of a slip-trailed, stylised yellow zig-zag motif over a dark green ground, accented with white cross-hatching and small, multi-coloured dots. The border is finished in a mottled mustard-brown glaze with thin, concentric slip-trailed lines. The high-gloss finish is consistent with the Amaco Potter’s Choice Vert Lustre glaze series. An orange inventory label with the handwritten number 404 13 and a small indicator arrow are present on the surface.
Condition report:
The platter appears to be in good condition with a consistent high-gloss glaze throughout. No chips, cracks, or visible signs of restoration are present.
