Lot 323: Turkmen Rugs
Turkmen Tekke Hachli rug featuring a traditional cruciform design on a deep red ground. The field is decorated with geometric guls and stylised architectural motifs rendered in navy blue, cream, and dark brown. The rug is finished with a complex multi-banded border of repeating geometric patterns.
Condition report:
The rugs show signs of wear consistent with age and use, including some thinning of the pile and fraying to the edges. Creasing is present from storage. The picture frames exhibit minor surface scuffs and dust.
