Lot 316: A Trio of Framed Prints including a Sporting Scene after George Wright
A collection of three framed decorative works. The primary piece is a sporting print titled Setting Off after George Wright (1860-1942), depicting huntsmen on horseback with hounds in a rural landscape. This work is presented in a beaded gold-tone frame with an ornate, line-decorated mount. The second item is a smaller landscape print depicting a figure with sheep by a water trough, housed in a gilded frame. The final piece is a colour photographic print of a golden eagle perched on a rocky peak, set within a dark blue mount and a wide gilded frame. All items are glazed and several bear small numbered auction lot stickers.
Condition report:
The items are in overall fair to good condition. The mount of the George Wright print shows visible foxing and age-related discoloration. Minor wear and surface marks are present on the frames, consistent with age and handling.
