An architectural landscape drawing executed in ink or pencil on paper, depicting the stone crenellated gatehouse of Micklegate Bar in York from a southern perspective. The work features an inscription reading Micklegate Bar, York from the South along the lower edge and is signed W. Ford and dated June 8th 1832 in the upper right corner. The drawing is presented in a dark oak frame with a gilt-finished inner slip and a textured light green mat.
