Lot 264: A Collection of Denby Stoneware Teaware and a Polychrome Porcelain Figurine
A collection of ceramic items comprising several components of Denby stoneware teaware and a small porcelain figurine. The teaware pieces, including cups and a small pitcher, feature tan-coloured matte exteriors decorated with black calligraphic script. The interiors are finished in a pale, crackle-glazed ceramic. The lot also includes a detailed polychrome porcelain figurine group depicting figures in stylised traditional dress. The collection appears to be in good overall condition. Crazing is visible to the internal glaze of the teaware, which is a characteristic feature of the style and material. No significant chips or cracks are visible upon inspection.
