A Victorian brass fireplace ash pan cover of bowed form with rounded corners. The piece features a moulded top rail and a stepped base. The front panel is decorated with two large spherical brass finials and two smaller decorative mounts, centring a rectangular section with a pierced fretwork pattern.
Condition report:
The item shows signs of age and use consistent with its function. There is visible surface tarnishing and minor pitting throughout. Several small dents are present, most notably to the right-hand finial. An orange auction lot sticker and a small white tag are affixed to the upper right edge.
