The Empire 1 typewriter, an early 20th-century thrust-action model designed by Parker. The keyboard is configured with three rows of circular off-white keys featuring black characters, including function keys marked FIGS, CAPS, and LOCK. This model utilises a horizontal thrust-action mechanism and is mounted upon its original metal base.
Condition report:
The item is in an aged condition showing visible oxidation and surface rust to various metal components, most notably the space bar and internal mechanisms. There is general dust accumulation and visible wear, including scratches and losses, to the black enamelled finish.
