A collection of Staffordshire transferware ceramics, featuring a large oval platter in the Blue Willow pattern. The platter is characterised by the traditional landscape scene including pagodas, birds, and a bridge, enclosed within a geometric border. The double-handled sauce boat is decorated with a floral and scroll motif. These pieces are of earthenware construction, consistent with 19th or early 20th-century production. Both the platter and sauce boat bear orange inventory stickers marked 164.
Condition report:
The sauce boat displays significant interior staining and crazing. The platter shows general surface wear and light abrasions consistent with age and use.
