This large-format black and white printed supplement, titled GLASGOW and dated May 12, 1888, was produced for The Graphic periodical. The sheet contains a series of topographical engravings depicting nineteenth-century Glasgow, Scotland. The layout features two primary panoramic views titled Glasgow from the Necropolis and West-End and Exhibition Buildings from the University Tower. These central images are bordered by smaller inset illustrations including The New Municipal Buildings, University College Completed, Govan Iron Works, Landing Place and Harbour, The New Barony Church, Gateway of Old College Rebuilt, A Street Amongst Tombs, and A Street by Night. The piece includes printed text identifying it as a Supplement to THE GRAPHIC and is dated May 12, 1888. The printing is executed in black ink on paper.
