Lot 594: A Collection of British First World War Campaign Medals and Ribbons
A collection of British First World War military medals and associated silk ribbons. The group includes a bronze Victory Medal, inscribed with the text THE GREAT WAR FOR CIVILISATION 1914-1919, and a white-metal British War Medal depicting the effigy of King George V. The assortment features various colourful silk ribbons, notably the rainbow-patterned ribbon for the Victory Medal and several striped designs. The items are contained within a weathered rectangular metal tin. Small white identification labels marked with the letter L are attached to certain pieces, and an orange adhesive price tag is visible on the interior of the lid.
