Lot 474: A Smiths Enfield Mantel Clock
A mid-20th-century mantel clock by Smiths Enfield, featuring a dark-stained wooden case in a traditional arched or Napoleon hat style. The circular dial is protected by a convex glass lens within a polished brass bezel and contains a cream-coloured chapter ring with applied gold-toned Arabic numerals and ornate hands. Two winding points are visible on the face, which is marked MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN at the six o’clock position, with the Smiths Enfield manufacturer’s mark visible behind the hands.
