Lot 34: A Collection of German Westerwald Salt Glazed Stoneware Tableware
A collection of German Westerwald salt glazed stoneware tableware. The set comprises a handled jug and matching footed goblets. Each piece is constructed from a cream-colored stoneware body with a salt glaze finish. Decoration consists of deep cobalt blue slip applied over incised and relief-molded stylized foliate and scrollwork patterns. The jug features a single loop handle and a flared rim. The goblets are designed with a tapered bowl set upon a pedestal foot. Several items retain orange adhesive stickers marked with the number 34.
