Lot 275: A Collection of Crown Devon Fieldings Ceramic Tablewares and Vanity Items
A collection of Crown Devon glazed ceramic tablewares and vanity items by S. Fielding and Co., Stoke-on-Trent. The group is characterized by a cream-colored ground with blush ivory finishes, featuring transfer-printed floral and ornithological designs in shades of pink, yellow, blue, and green. The assortment includes a tall pitcher with a scalloped rim and scrolled handle, a large ovoid vase decorated with long-tailed birds among flowering branches, a pedestal tureen with a hexagonal base and fluted lid, a square lidded dish with relief-molded scroll details, candlesticks, and several small lidded vessels. Many pieces are accented with gold-toned highlights and traditional Victorian-style motifs.
