Lot 18:
A West African Kpanlogo hand drum and a collection of miscellaneous items, including blue and white transferware plates. The drum features a hand-carved wooden body with a tapered, cylindrical form and a natural wood grain finish. It is fitted with a single animal hide head, secured and tensioned by a system of thick, twisted cords and wooden tuning pegs inserted directly into the body. A small, orange adhesive label with the handwritten number 18 is visible on one of the pegs. The lot also includes a collection of ceramic plates with blue and white transfer-printed decorations and other miscellaneous objects.
